Our first makerspace at 227 W. Ludington Ave (12/2015 - 5/2017)

Former location:
The 8,000+ sq/ft facility offered ample space to work on both small and large projects. Designated areas included:
  • Woodshop
  • Paint / finishing room
  • Large construction room
  • Small and large classroom space
  • Private studio rental
  • Public showroom/gallery of maker objects and art
  • Loading dock
  • Project storage lockers
  • Material storage area
  • Hospitality area and changing room

Parking:

A few parking spaces were located along Ludington Ave. and parallel spots of Robert St. A large public lot is located at the south-east corner of the facility, across from the Community Garden.

Our makerspace got it's start at 227 West Ludington Ave., in a building that used to house Napa Auto Parts. We we at that facility to launch on 12/31/2015, open our doors on 3/22/2016 until moving on 5/31/2017 to a studio at 307 South James St.

Background: Downtown Ludington will be welcoming a new development in 2017, at the 200 block of Ludington Ave. to provide more commercial and residential space. Our current building will be demolished to make way for this wonderful addition to our community. Learn more from the Ludington Daily News
